STEPPIN' OUT'S CASTING POLICY
Auditions will be held prior to the first day of camp for all summer shows. Students will be cast at the director’s discretion. All of our performers are part of a team and, as a team, we will support one another in whatever roles have been assigned. We ask that parents support our directors with this message. We know there will be a time when your child comes home not having received the part they wanted, and we ask parents to focus on the positive. There will be no tolerance for students or parents criticizing other students or their assigned roles or opportunities. We want to create a encouraging and positive environment for our performers and appreciate your support.
Additionally, not getting the part they want does not justify unpleasant conduct or dropping out of the show. No refunds will be given after casting has occurred. Every single role is an opportunity for growth (in singing, acting, dancing, stage presence, production experience, etc.), and with the right attitude, can be a special and valuable experience. All of our students are equal in importance.
